Change Leadership Made Simple: How Great Leaders Can Inspire Teams Through Uncertainty

After years of coaching leaders through change - and navigating plenty myself - I’m excited to share my latest Forbes Coaches Council article:

Change Leadership Made Simple: How Great Leaders Can Inspire Teams Through Uncertainty.

Change is everywhere - at work and in life.

New initiatives. New strategies. New technologies. Shifts in leadership, roles, objectives. Career transitions, promotions, layoffs.

Sometimes we choose it. Sometimes it chooses us. But we’re all experiencing something new.

A few months ago, I sent my twin daughters off to college, on opposite sides of the country and thousands of miles from home. And I was reminded once again just how challenging change can be, and how much it takes to navigate through it.

That's why I'm so excited to share this article. In it, I distill what I’ve learned about leading through transitions - both personal and professional - into three essentials:

  1. Recognize the Change Curve - The “dip” is inevitable; growth comes when you lead through it.

  2. Balance the Strategic, Tactical, and Emotional - vision and process matter, but so do empathy and compassion.

  3. Know Yourself- self-awareness is your greatest anchor during transition.

I continue to remind myself that resistance is normal, the "dip" is temporary, and no matter how hard it might seem in the moment, something great is almost always on the other side.

I hope you find this article helpful in navigating whatever change you may be experiencing, and it serves as a friendly reminder that you're never alone.
